The WKU Violin Fest is an exciting weekend event that brings together violinists and teachers of all ages. The Violin Fest features masterclasses, group performances, a faculty recital, and special topic discussions. All participants are encouraged to take part in the violin group performances, and selected soloists will be chosen to perform in the masterclasses. In addition to performance based activities, special sessions will focus on topics such as vibrato, beginning set up, and practice tips.

This year's guest faculty members are Paul Kantor from Rice University, Brenda Brenner from Indiana University, and Tim Kantor from the University of Arizona. WKU faculty members Dr. Ching-Yi Lin and Andrew Braddock will also serve on the faculty of the Violin Fest.

Students of all ages are welcome. There will be groups for Suzuki Books 1, 2, and 3, and an advanced group for high school and college students. Teachers who attend will receive three credit hours of professional development and a signed certificate.
